How Is Dental Facial Trauma Treated?
The approach to treating facial trauma depends on the severity of the injury. Dr. Dorsett or Dr. Orr will evaluate the injury during your consultation, using advanced 3D scans to assess the extent of the damage. If the injury is significant, such as a broken jaw or facial bones, we may recommend surgery to repair the trauma. Before starting, we'll numb the area with local anesthesia to ensure your comfort, and in some cases, sedation may be used for additional relaxation. Recovery time after facial trauma repair varies based on the severity and follow-up visits are often required to ensure proper healing. In more complex cases, multiple treatments may be needed to fully restore your facial structure and function.

Oral Surgery Associates Gadsden Reviews
Very professional and courteous
Received excellent care in removal of 3 broken capped teeth. Received antibiotic and pain medicine prescription. Going back for removal of stitches.
Dr Dorsett and his staff are excellent. I had a tooth extracted and it went quickly and was done and out in no time.
I had an amazing experience getting my wisdom tooth removed. This was my first time ever having any dental work done (I didn’t even have my first cavity until age 32), so I honestly didn’t know what to expect but they made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. Check in was super easy with no confusion at all. My appointment was at 8:30, I arrived at 8:00, and they actually called me back early. Everything moved quickly and smoothly I was completely done before 8:50! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the doctor took the time to explain everything, which I really appreciated. The last thing I remember is the assistant saying she was about to give me the medicine, and after that, I don’t remember a thing which made the whole experience even better. Overall, they were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you’re nervous or don’t know what to expect like I didn’t.
They did an amazing job. I want to say thank you.
